31 May 1942: With the VP's vote theoretically we finally have a majority in Congress albeit a weak one.
01 Jun 1942: The USS Hornet has been repaired so I assign it to the Asiatic Fleet.
I also send 3 Cruisers and 2 Destroyers from US TF 4 repairing at Wake Island to Asiatic Fleet.
02 Jun 1942: In the Atlantic I send the 66th and 103rd Infantry Divisions to the Azores. We need to think post-Japan.
02 Jun 1942: Wow! The French Commune has already landed in southern Japan. That changes my timetable entirely. I start planning an Amphibious Assault for US Marine Corps SE of Osaka.
I also plan for 3 divisions from 5th Army to land in Osaka. We need the port for supply. There is another port north of Osaka and on the northern coast.
I also ship 7 divisions of 5th Army (I change it to 5 because 2 are needed to support the amphibious landing) to Nagasaki which has already been captured by the French.
03 Jun 1942: I change the status of the Philippines to an Integrated puppet.
An Aircraft Carrier, USS Hornet, was sunk in port while repairing at Bismarck. Where did the bombers come from??? A sad loss.
I transfer B17's and P-38's to Marcus Island.
04 Jun 1942: I assign them to Strategic Bombing of Airfields on Home Island.
I import Rubber from Sri Lanka.
08 Jun 1942: Mexico (in exile) declares war on the Bahamas. They left the British Empire. Mexico has no troops.....
Five divisions of Fifth Army has arrived in Nagasaki and I order it to take Kochi. (In retrospect I should have sent it to help capture Hiroshima.)
10 Jun 1942: There was no damage but 150 Japanese Bombers attacked the port at Bismarck again. They can't be based at Truk because we captured it.
13 Jun 1942: I activate 5th Army's assault on Osaka..
We sink 2 Japanese Destroyers near Iwo Jima.
15 Jun 1942: I now activate the US Marine Corps' assault.
The French have been pushed back from the outskirts of Hiroshima. 5th Army's troops are getting nowhere either.
The Bahamas is part of the Coalition with Australia and Canada. So much for neutrality in today's world.
19 Jun 1942: Fifth Army's assault has captured Osaka and I order 11 divisions of SE Asian Army to reinforce them.

I've had to get involved earlier than planned but thanks to the French we achieved complete surprise at Osaka.
