Allies - The Battle for Moscow (II) - 01 Sep to 20 Sep 1941

01 Sep 1941: Units from Army Centre have broken through the enemy lines at Bryansk and are now heading towards Kaluga then Moscow.
Spearheads from Army South are approaching Stalingrad from many sides. I've drawn a new 'Go-to' line further east.
02 Sep 1941: Excellent progress in the Kuban. In addition to covering Army South's southern flank we are successfully blocking Turkish expansion north.
04 Sep 1941: I order 13 divisions from Army Centre to advance to Yaroslavl on a broad front capturing Moscow on the way.
05 Sep 1941: In the south we have captured Stalingrad and a spearhead is approaching Saratov. The US and Turkish forces have captured Astrakhan at the northern end of the Caspian Sea.
07 Sep 1941: Research has been completed on the Naval Doctrine Convoy Sailing...
....and I select the Naval Doctrine Convoy Escorts next.
My current Research.
08 Sep 1941: Vladivostok? How did that happen? That is an important city in the Far East.
The Soviets are now 64% towards capitulation and the fall of Moscow will be bring that number up to the 80's.
It was captured by Imperial Kwantung. An Axis nation.
Army North is now gaining momentum. It can approach Moscow from the northwest.
09 Sep 1941: Army Centre is getting nearer to Moscow and there is little Soviet resistance. It is kind of US forces to cover the northern flank of our advancing units.
11 Sep 1941: The big view in the north.
12 Sep 1941: The same for Armies South and Kuban. The Urals, our next objective, are visible top-right.
In the north again we are at the gates of Moscow.
Good to see that the Finns have captured Murmansk.
13 Sep 1941: Moscow, Kaluga and Orel have fallen! The next objectives are Yaroslavl. Novgorod and Gorki (NW->SE).
15 Sep 1941: Army North has made great advances and will soon link up with the Finns.
16 Sep 1941: The frontline a day later.
19 Sep 1941: I order three RAF Squadrons further east to a captured airfield at Orel.
20 Sep 1941: We agree to a non-aggression-pact with Finland. Saratov has been captured and the next stop is the Urals.
The Soviets are now 85% towards capitulation. Finland has lost ZERO troops!!!
Inside one month Leningrad, Moscow and Stalingrad have been captured and we are nearing the Urals.
