Germany - The German-Yugoslavian War - 06 Oct to 31 Oct 1939

06 Oct 1939: The Croatian capital Zagreb is about to fall.
07 Oct 1939: My Axis allies Hungary and Romania join the war.
08 Oct 1939: Two Panzer-Divisionen are racing along the Danube Valley while Banja Luka in Bosnia is threatened.
09 Oct 1939: The 170. Infanterie-Division has been deployed and is placed in training.
The trained 81. the 82. Infanterie-Divisionen are assigned to Armee Ostpreussen.
10 Oct 1939: Zagreb and Novi Sad have fallen. I order 5 Divisionen forward to keep up the pressure and momentum.
11 Oct 1939: We have captured Banja Luka and are now advancing on Belgrade from several directions.
12 Oct 1939: The first spearhead has arrived at Belgrade and the Yugoslavians are counterattacking E. of Banja Luka.
Yugoslavia is now 23% towards capitulation.
13 Oct 1939: Pockets of resistance need to be neutralized and Sarajevo is quite near.
I need to approach Belgrade south of the River Danube.
14 Oct 1939: Belgrade is still resisting but I'm marshalling more forces forward.
16 Oct 1939: Sarajevo has been captured and more forces are advancing on Belgrade.
17 Oct 1939: I order the 8. and 10. Panzer-Divisionen to protect our right flank and capture Split on the Dalmation coast.
22 Oct 1939: Belgrade and Split are about to fall and Nis in the east has already been captured.
The newly-deployed 181. Infanterie-Division is placed in training.
Yugoslovakia is now at 46% towards capitulation and has 42K casualties.
24 Oct 1939: I've been neglecting Holland.
My Army production is looking OK.
Belgrade must have fallen because Split is the new capital. I order 5 Divisionen from Armee Süd to help out along the Dalmation coast.
25 Oct 1939: I order more forces to attack in Dalmatia.
28 Oct 1939: Good. The Finns are putting up a good fight.
30 Oct 1939: Split has fallen and Podgorica is the new capital. We are about to overrun Mostar and I start a thrust along the Dalmatian coast.
31 Oct 1939: Yugoslovakia has capitulated and we have captured a lot of equipment including Civilian Trains and a couple of Hawker Hurricanes.
