Turkey - Strategy Session - 14 Nov 1912

14 Nov 1912: A look at Europe now that the dust has settled. The Central Powers, Germany and Austria-Hungary, flanked on both sides by the Entente, UK, France and Russia. Then there is us the Ottoman Empire and neutral Italy. But no Serbia so how does the Great War begin?
The Austria-Hungary Focus Tree shows Renew Triple Alliance and the third party is Italy.
Germany's Focus is Full Rearmament and is no real surprise.
This Focus has already been done because the Condominium of Bosnia and Herzegovina doesn't exist anymore.
Austria-Hungary can't go down this chain because Serbia doesn't exist anymore. To the left of this is the Romanian option. That doesn't really affect us but maybe we could attack it without having to take sides.
What options do we the Ottomans have? I'm in favour of continuing the Middle East strategy. Crush Al Saud Clan....
....followed by Annex Jabal Shammar.
Let's take a look at the region. Hejaz is a puppet of the Ottoman Empire and can be used as a springboard to attack the Al Sauds in the Nejd.
Asir and Yemen are already part of the Ottoman Empire.
The Emirate of Nejd is neutral and is ruled by the House of Saud. To the south is Aden which is part of the British Empire (Entente) as is Kuwait to the north.
Oman is also a British puppet and in the Entente so off limits. Abu Dhabi too.
Persia is neutral and borders Russia in the north. Afghanistan and the British Raj are its neighbours to the east.
Finally there is Afghanistan, a potential ally.
Back to my other options the Anti-Bulgarian Policy chain is blocked because I have already annexed Bulgaria.
The Focus Develop The Empire is useful and politically harmless.
Finally a view of the Ottoman Empire's popularity in Europe and the Middle East....
....followed by the same but just Entente members.
I don't believe that I need to look towards France for anything. Back to campaign in the next post.
