USA - Venezuela and Intervention in Papua - 18 Jul to 16 Aug 1940

18 Jul 1940: This is looking promising but....
....reinforcements block the attack. So I attack south over the River Orinoco. Research has completed on the M1919 Browning MG & M1 Mortar.
22 Jul 1940: I select Improved Infantry Equipment II next.
My current Research.
I cancel my Recruitment of Infantry divisions. I need the new production of Infantry Equipment and Artillery for reinforcements of existing divisions.
24 Jul 1940: Oops! Japanese aircraft sink a Destroyer near Kwajalein.
27 Jul 1940: I send 3 Infantry divisions from Army Philippines to the only free port in Papua. We barely have enough supply.
I move down the coast looking for a larger port.
02 Aug 1940: That means he still around and hopefully plotting a takeover.
We lost a few Merchants in the South China Sea. Where are my Convoy Escorts?
In China we are about to liberate Beijing.
Good. My Battleship Squadron shoots down another 5 Japanese Torpedo Bombers.
I add more more Military Factories to my Construction schedule.
03 Aug 1940: I have 6 ships in training including the new Battleships USS North Carolina and USS Washington. The 4 Destroyers are the new 1940 models.
09 Aug 1940: Warsaw has fallen. The Soviets are being pushed back.
10 Aug 1940: Mussolini annexes Albania.
11 Aug 1940: We sink a total of 14 Japanese Destroyers without friendly losses.
13 Aug 1940: We lose a Destroyer but shoot down 2 Torpedo Bombers near Kwajalein.
16 Aug 1940: That's a blow for the Allies because Siam has joined the Japanese faction. French Indo-China and British Malaya are endangered.
I'm placing more emphasis in SE Asia because the Free World's Rubber comes from there.
