Russia - The Polish Campaign (II) - 17 Dec 1936 to 10 Feb 1937

17 Dec 1936: Still neutralizing the pockets on the Czechoslovakian border. They are pinning down forces which could be better used elsewhere.
24 Dec 1936: I order 6 Mechanized Divisions to encircle Polish divisions and capture Pinsk.
02 Jan 1937: I order elements of four armies to attack towards Kraków/Katowice on a broad front.
13 Jan 1937: Kraków has been captured so I order a similar attack with object of capturing Warsaw.
17 Jan 1937: I unlock the Land Doctrine Pocket Defence.
20 Jan 1937: Civil War in Latvia.
We shall send Tanks to Ethiopia.
22 Jan 1937: The pockets have been cleared and I send a couple of divisions north.
23 Jan 1937: Research has been completed on Concentrated Industry I.
24 Jan 1937: I again launch a mass attack on Warsaw and we are about to capture Lodz further to the west.
We accept a Lend Lease from Latvia SSR.
I select Concentrated Industry II as my next Research project.

27 Jan 1937: We have captured Lodz and are making good progress in NE Poland.
31 Jan 1937: Poland is 58% towards capitulation and still have more than double of our casualties.
01 Feb 1937: Warsaw is under great pressure while another spearhead has captured Plock and is heading towards Danzig.
02 Feb 1937: Poland has very few units in the west so we can advance rapidly.
04 Feb 1937: We have advanced nearer to Danzig but Warsaw is still holding out.
07 Feb 1937; Warsaw has fallen and Poznan is the new capital. I add a new Military Factory to Truck production.
08 Feb 1937: We are in the headlines again. Poland is now only days from capitulation.
10 Feb 1937: I reduce Rubber imports from British Malaya and Danzig has fallen.
Poland capitulates and we receive equipment. The 10 Trains could be useful.
The campaign took 13 weeks and we have 75K casualties. The Treaty of Warsaw is in the next post.
