01 Dec 1939: I ask for access to the UK's production so I can build some of their equipment under license.
02 Dec 1939: They allow it but their Spitfire is not yet being built.
03 Dec 1939: Great! The Soviets are not claiming Poland.
A quick look at my Diplomacy table.
I decide to request all 39 of Romania's divisions so they are unlikely to declare war on the Soviets despite having justified war goals.
04 Dec 1939: I initially form two armies but then I create a third army for divisions that require more training.
07 Dec 1939: Done!
13 Dec 1939: Research has been completed on
MP 38....
....and I select
Mountain Infantry II next.
I then start producing the new MP 38.
22 Dec 1939: My production for the Army.
28 Dec 1939: Time to remind the Dutch again.
05 Jan 1940: The
Inclined Belt Cruiser Armour Scheme has been developed.
I start researching the
1940 Submarine Hull next.
07 Jan 1940: Research has been completed on the
Panzer IV.
I choose to research the Army Doctrine
Armoured Spearhead next.
My current Research.
The Focus
Army Innovations II has completed.
I choose
Air Innovations II next instead of
War with the USSR. That can wait another 70 days.
11 Jan 1940: France asks to join the Axis and I accept the request.
Italy's current Focus is Claims on Yugoslavia. Ominous!
11 Jan 1940: Good. The British are still guaranteeing Yugoslavian independence.
12 Jan 1940: Finally, I transfer the fully-trained 14. Panzer-Division to Panzerkorps Ost.
War is brewing in southern Europe, but who against who?
