14 Oct 1940: Four days later Leningrad has been captured. All the main objectives have been achieved. Now we must go city-hunting in order to pick up the Victory Points needed to force the capitulation.
Now 84% towards capitulation and 2 million dead.
We still have a long way to Murmansk and Archangelsk in Russia's far north.
We are now leaving Stalingrad behind us. Next stop is the Urals and beyond,
Our forward divisions are now more than 3,000 km from Berlin. A very long way to walk.
