Germany - The Advance on Moscow and Stalingrad (II) - 14 Aug to 10 Sep 1940
14 Aug 1940: We are attacking on a broad front into the Caucasus.
The same goes for our main thrust to Stalingrad and Moscow.I plan the construction of more Military Factories.
Later in the day here are the operational plans for the 8 Armies involved from the north....
....to the south.
15 Aug 1940: Mopping up bypassed troops south of Smolensk.
18 Aug 1940: The same area 3 days later.
21 Aug 1940: Further south a couple of pockets have been formed but there are few enemy divisions between us and Moscow.
Great progress in the Caucasus especially in the Kuban region.
24 Aug 1940: We are also advancing on the northern front.
27 Aug 1940: We are about to kick down the Kremlin's front gate. There a six cities nearby which also need to be captured.
29 Aug 1940: The enemy's frontline in the Caucasus is falling apart.
30 Aug 1940: We are closing in on Stalingrad too.
01 Sep 1940: Not good for the Soviets. We shall be home for Christmas at this pace.
04 Sep 1940: Strike One! Moscow has fallen.
Most of the nearby cities have been captured as well.
06 Sep 1940: Stalingrad's capture is imminent. We can now take a look at the Intel on Italy.
08 Sep 1940: Strike Two! Stalingrad has been captured.
09 Sep 1940: The remnants of a large pocket is about to be neutralized. The troops can now reinforce our Caucasus campaign.
Nothing but Military Factories being constructed.
10 Sep 1940: Rzhev is the last satellite city that needs to be captured. Half the divisions here will later be available for the drive on Leningrad.
14 Sep 1940: I increase my Conscription to Service by Requirement effectively doubling my manpower pool - but at a cost.
The ends this post. Strike Three will be the fall of Leningrad.
