07 Nov 1940: I don't see any Forts here so the Soviets haven't built the Stalin Line yet. Good news.
08 Nov 1940: The Focus
Expand the Truppenschulen has been completed....
....and I select
Aeronautical Research Institute next.
09 Nov 1940: Back to Finland and we are still fighting near Jyvaskylä.
14 Nov 1940: We have advanced to NE of Jyvaskylä. Also our Research has been completed on
1940 Cruiser Hull....
....and I select
7.5 cm PaK 40 from Rheinmetall next.
16 Nov 1940: I attack the 3 Soviet Divisions with 4 of ours, of which 3 are Sturm-Divisionen..
17 Nov 1940: It should be over within a week but that may not happen.
18-20 Nov 1940: I order the 15. Panzer-Division to join the battle.
22 Nov 1940: It has arrived and I hope we now see a difference.
23 Nov 1940: Now that looks much better.
24 Nov 1940: We prevailed and the Soviets are counterattacking.
25 Nov 1940: The 15. Panzer-Division and a Finnish Division are attacking the neighbouring Cavalry Divison.
27 Nov 1940: I also attack North with 3 Sturm-Divisionen vs. 5 Soviet Divisions but we are stalled.
30 Nov 1940: The Soviet Cavalry Division is losing this battle.
The Cavalry Division retreated and Jyvaskylä is no longer threatened.
04 Dec 1940: I order the 18. Panzer-Division eastwards to cover the gap left by the advancing divisions.
I feel more confident about the Finland campaign now.
