Germany - Back and Forth in Finland - 21 Jul to 12 Aug 1940
21 Jul 1940: I counterattack SE of Lappeenranta and I attack 3 Soviet division further SE to prevent them from advancing.
23 Jul 1940: The counterattack was successful, 3 divisions advanced, and they are now under attack.26 Jul 1940: The Focus All-Terrain Military Motorcycle has been completed. Three Sturm-Divisionen are attacking SE again and are prevailing. Note the Spitfire. Where are the British troops?
At home the 934. Infanterie-Division (mot.) has been deployed and is placed in training.
I select Bribe Senior Officers next.
We are currently winning that battle and I order the 18. and 20. Panzer-Divisionen to support a Finnish attack NE of Lappeenranta. A Soviet Tank Division has advance nearer to Leningrad.
02 Aug 1940: I order the 169. and 205. Sturm-Division to attack 2 Soviet divisions South of the river line that I want to defend.
05 Aug 1940: One Rifle Division has been pushed back and I add 297. Sturm-Division attacking NE from Leningrad.
07 Aug 1940: The river line is ours again but the Soviets are counterattacking. I deny both Italian requests.
I remind the Dutch again.
08 Aug 1940: The Bulgarians are trying to grab a piece of southern Yugoslavia.
09 Aug 1940: The White Death! The Finns are now fired up and will fight more determined than ever.
The 18. and 20. Panzer-Divisions are winning a battle which threatens to cut off 3 Soviet Divisions.
12 Aug 1940: The 18. Panzer-Division is exhausted so I add the 290. Sturm-Division to the battle. Also Research has been completed on Inclined Belt Armour Scheme.
In Brandenburg 10 Sturm-Divisionen have been deployed and are placed in training.
I select All-or-Nothing Armour Scheme from Germaniawerft next.
My current Research projects.
We definitely don't have Sitzkrieg in Finland.
