Germany - The Defeat of Japan (I) - 27 Aug to 20 Sep 1944
27 Aug 1944: Aomori port has been captured and I order Gebirgs Armee to advance southwards.
I add new MIF's to support Panzer productionA quick look at the War Summary and there is a little red in Japan's bar.
28 Aug 1944: Our forces on Hokkaido need to link up with our troops on the main island to receive supplies.
31 Aug 1944: We are advancing south with little resistance. The 5 redirected divisions have arrived at Aomori.
02 Sep 1944: Sapporo has been abandoned by the Japanese.
I send 7 more divisions to Aomori.
05 Sep 1944: We have capture Sapporo but Japanese Armoured Division has appeared in our rear.
I import more Tungsten from Sweden.
I add more Dockyards to our Capital Ship production.
08 Sep 1944: I reinforce the Luftwaffe with 4 more Geschwader - 3 of them Jagdgeschwader. We now have Air Superiority.
09 Sep 1944: We attack further South and 7 more divisions have arrived in Aomori.
11 Sep 1944: I start an attack link up with our Kameraden on Hokkaido.
13 Sep 1944: Now that looks much better.
14 Sep 1944: I order an attack to capture Tokyo and Yokohama, its port.
15 Sep 1944: The attack is going well.
16 Sep 1944: Japan is now 38% towards capitulation.
I decide to ship 9 more divisions to Japan - this time from 2. Armee. We have also linked up with our forces on Hokkaido.
19 Sep 1944: We need to consolidate our gains until the reinforcements arrive. I shall divert them to Yokohama port.
20 Sep 1944: We still have enough forces to go onto the offence.
This is easier than I imagined. Japan has very good defensive terrain but they lack defenders.
