Russia - A New Infantry Division and a New Destroyer - 10 Oct to 17 Oct 1939
10 Oct 1939: This a mediocre Division because it has minimal Support. I have plenty of Artillery, Anti-Tank Guns and Support Equipment stockpiled....
....so I create an Assault Division by replacing 2 Rifle Battalions with an Artillery Battalion and an Anti-Tank Battalion. I also add an Engineer Support Company. It has less Manpower but more Firepower.I then change its Symbol to crossed Rifles and we have our new Assault Division. I'll still be using Rifle Division's numbering system though.
I don't want to use captured foreign equipment nor do I want Basic Infantry Equipment in the Division.
Army North, former Army Germany, has 11 Rifle Divisions available and I convert them all to Assault Divisions.
12 Oct 1939: Three Assault Divisions need further training so I transfer them to Army Training West.
The trained 8th Latvian Infantry Division is assigned to Army Prussia.
14 Oct 1939: I assign the trained 2nd Tank Division and 55th Assault Division to Army North.
The 31st Cavalry Division is assigned to NKVD Forces.
15 Oct 1939: My Research projects with nothing due to arrive in the near future.
16 Oct 1939: My Construction queue.
My non-Armour Army production. The yellow arrows indicate upgrades not shortages.
The Armour and Aircraft production showing the new deficit of Tank Destroyers.
My Naval production. Production of the Kirov-Class Heavy Cruiser will end next month.
I create a 1940 Destroyer using the best Light Guns and Anti-Aircraft Guns available. I'm missing Sonar capability.
I add it to the Naval production queue and reduce the 1936 Destroyer production to one more unit.
17 Oct 1939: I add 2 more Rifle Divisions to the Recruitment programme.
The first steps towards a more modern Army and Navy have been planned.
