Germany - Fall Weiß, the Poland Campaign (I) - 15 Mar to 26 Mar 1936

15 Mar 1937: First I assign my Stukas to Panzerkorps I and Armee Ostpreussen....
....then Fighters to all 4 Armeen.
Next I order II. U-Boots Flottille to patrol in the Lower Baltic Sea then add 8 surface vessels, incl. the Admiral Graf Spee, from the Ostseeflotte to assist them.
The War Summary before the fighting has started. We clearly have the advantage.
My opening attacks with the thrust through to Warsaw.
16 Mar 1937: We are in the Headlines and all attacks are green.
20 Mar 1937: As planned we have broken the through the enemy defences near Breslau. I want to help Armee Ostpreussen link up with the bulk of the Wehrmacht.
21 Mar 1937: Aragón has joined the Spanish Civil War as we continue our offensive.
I forgot the Force Attack Bonus so I add it now to Armee Nord, Armee Süd and I. Panzerkorps.
Headlines about Spain....
....and I don't forget to remind the Dutch again.
I check my Construction queue and note that we have captured Danzig in the North.
We have also captured Katowice in the South and I order the right wing of Armee Süd to press forward to Kraków and Kielce.
The 56. Infanterie-Division is totally exhausted with 0 Organization and almost 700 manpower lost.
24 Mar 1937: There are two pockets formed - one North and the other South of Poznan.
26 Mar 1937: A closer view of the battles on Ostpreussen's border.
There is now a 3rd pocket South of Danzig.
By spliiting up their Army there is little coordination.
