German - The German-Polish War (I) - 05 Jul to 20 Jul 1937
05 Jul 1937: Our Panzer have already entered Polish territory NE of Breslau....
....and we shall soon break through West of Poznan.Army 3 has captured Danzig and is holding the line around Ostpreussen.
08 Jul 1937: We now have a major breakthrough in SE Poland with our spearheads rapidly approaching Warsaw.
10 Jul 1937: Warsaw has fallen and Polish forces are struggling in the South.
12 Jul 1937: Now it's official! Poznan in the West has also fallen.
14 Jul 1937: Japan has declared war on China and the Focus Subsidize Hoesch-Benzin has been completed.
In the North we have captured Suwalki and we are pushing towards Grodno.
The Focus Remilitarize the Rhineland has been bypassed....
....so I select Heed von Neurath's Concerns next. Yes, I have decided to choose the Historical Path mainly because I am in no mood for a Civil War in Germany.
Where are our 2nd echelon forces? We are hoplessly overextended. Der Fuhrer is demanding that we halt the advance and dig in but our Panzer commanders pretend they didn't receive the order.
15 Jul 1937: The Far East has its own major conflict.
16 Jul 1937: Our corridor to Warsaw is wider now a couple of Panzer-Divisionen are advancing along it's right flank. We are also attacking towards Plock to secure the left flank.
Poland is 48% towards capitulation and has suffered 26K casualties compared to our 5K.
I am hoping to link up soon with our forces in Ostpreussen.
I add 'Force Attack' to Army Süd and Army Nord.
19 Jul 1937: Japan is keen to escalate and is stealing the show in the World's Press.
20 Jul 1937: Higinio who? We have captured Plock and Torun could be next.
In the North Gdynia 's fall is imminent and 5. Infanterie-Division is attacking South to break out from Danzig.
In the evening Gdynia has been captured and our forces have linked up.
Poland is now 60% toward's capitulation and casualties are mounting.
I need to apply more pressure in southern Poland in order to capture the Kraków region.
