Germany - Unternehmen Barbarossa (I) - 19 to 30 Apr 1940

18 Apr 1940: I invite a few allies, first Greece....

….then Hungary....

….and finally Bulgaria.

This includes losses in Latvia.

In the afternoon Russia calls in Communist China. Now I'm worried!

20 Apr 1940: Great news and good timing!

I restart the Japanese code decryption.

21 Apr 1940: I refuse to give France access. Panzerarmee 1 has broken through the Soviet defences east and west of Daugavpils while Armee Nord pours 13 divisions into the breach north of Minsk.

All of their divisions are in the Far East!

We have sunk a submarine in Sevastopol port.

There are multiple breaches in the southern sector.

Advances in the North too.

23 Apr 1940: Now it's Shanxi's turn....

….and they join the club...

….then become our enemy too.

Four Soviets subs have been sunk in the Baltic!

They are losing more than we are.

24 Apr 1940: Their southern front has disintegrated!

….and we enjoy complete air-superiority along the whole front.

25 Apr 1940: Spain joins are campaign....

….and Mussolini sends us Infantry Equipment.

All Soviet divisions in Latvia are now encircled and we refuse Mengkukuo's (a Japanese puppet) request.

28 Apr 2940: The more the merrier! We have huge successes in Ukraine and Belorussia.

I also say no to Japan too.

The northern front is progressing so well our 2nd echelon can't keep up! Daugavpils is about to be captured.
