Germany - Beyond Iran - 19 Sep to 07 Oct 1941

19 Sep 1941: We sign a non-aggression pact with Portugal. They still own Macao in China.

21 Sep 1941: Our forces are advancing well in northern Iran.

25 Sep 1041: Iran is now 85% towards capitulation but the terrain supports the defenders here.

26 Sep 1941: We have completed research on Improved Artillery Upgrade I....

....and I select Anti-Tank Upgrade next.

29 Sep 1941: We are advancing on Bandar e'Abbas on a broad front.

01 Oct 1941: We shall soon break through along the coast while British Empire forces are advancing from the East.

02 Oct 1941: The focus Wunderwaffe has been completed.

I choose Befriend Czechoslovakia next which will slowly nudge it towards the Axis.

Siam joins the Japanese faction but they didn't really have much of a choice.

Latvia wants to sign a non-aggression pact again. Why not?

04 Oct 1941: This is what I have been worried about. High resistance in Stalingrad and this is just the beginning.

The final push? One Iranian division is being overrun,

06 Oct 1941: Capitulation! A lot of equipment is captured too which will arm our occupation forces.

T request and receive freedom of passage through the British Raj. 

At least the Indians like us more than they dislike us.

Kesselring's Armee Süd becomes the occupation army.

We request and receive passage through China. They have a long border with the Japanese who they are at war with. We befriended them a few years ago. 

07 Oct 1941: Rommel's 1. Panzerarmee is tasked with manning the border with the British Raj for the moment. It will bring all his divisions to SE Iran.

We are still #2 in the world but the RAF is becoming huge! Over 7,300 aircraft now.

Our campaign in SW Asia (Near East) is over and we have achieved all our goals. The British are dependent on us for their oil since the USA shows no sign of joining this war. Japan is our next goal but the war against Russian partisans will also keep us busy.
