06 Apr 1941: On 2nd Army Group's right flank Romanian units are at the gates of Odessa. It also looks precarious for the 10 Soviet divisions SE of Stanislawa.
Armee Mitte's forces have captured Minsk and are threatening Russian cities on a broad front.
On our left flank Armee Nord and 1. Panzerarmee have broken through the Soviet defences in three places and are threatening to advance East and North.
11 Apr 1941: Three Soviet divisions have been encircled and Armee Nord is advancing towards Vitebsk and Velikiye Luki.
12 Apr 1941: The Soviets have moved so many forces south to defend against my invasion that the Finns now face little opposition. As a consequence the Finns have captured Leningrad. The Soviet's first major loss.
I reject a non-aggression pact with Japan. Our forces want to decimate Soviet divisions opposing Armee Nord then link up with Finns. There are several cities which need to be captured for Victory Points.
14 Apr 1941: Excellent progess in the North. Armee Nord is about to capture Velikiye Luki and Vitebsk will be encircled in cooperation with Armee Mitte.
15 Apr 1941: Our forces have been fighting non-stop for 10 days and some divisions are too exhausted to continue fight. They ned a few days rest.
17 Apr 1941: We have completed researching

2 cm Flakvierling 38 next., a Quad 20 mm FlaK Gun.
My current Research projects. Armee Nord has broken through the stubborn Soviet defences. We are up against veterans from the Finnish front.
2. Panzerarmee has been ordered to capture Bryansk and the Air Base at Roslavl. The Railroad heading NE from Bryansk goes to Moscow. It's just off-map.
19 Apr 1941: We agree to a non-aggression pact with the United Kingdom.
Our Naval Aircraft have sunk two Soviet Submarines.
I delete all orders for 1. Reserve Armee and order it to garrison captured regions in the Soviet Union.
Eight more Kavallerie-Divisionen have been deployed and they are assigned to 1. Reserve Armee.
I put 1. And 2. Panzerarmeen in Force Attack mode.
The Soviets are suffering. My main objective at the moment is to capture Moscow. Until the next post.
