Germany - Luftwaffe Reorganization and Central Asia - 25 Sep to 04 Oct 1943
25 Sep 1943: Since I now have thousands of aircraft it is time to create 'big' wings, i.e. 200 aircraft per wing. There were advocates of this policy during the Battle of Britain in 1940.
In the HOI4 campaign an 150 aircraft Air Wing will defeat an Air Wing with 100 aircraft but not two times 100 so why not a 200 aircraft Air Wing right from the beginning. Stuka Wings with 200 aircraft are also good.In the West I shall be up against a huge Royal Air Force so their formations will definitely be large.
At the beginning of the war it will be like the real thing. Luftwaffe versus RAF.
Then Luftwaffe versus the Royal Navy.
I want my He 177 strategic bombers to attack airfields, then ports then industry.
Only then can I sustain an amphibious assault and and a subsequent land operation.
I must gain air and naval superiority in and over the English Channel and North Sea.
27 Sep 1943: A British intervention in Scandinavia would complicate things but switching big wings can change local superiorities very quickly.
01 Oct 1943: Another Comintern nation falls.
My new border with the Allies in Central Asia.
The region seen from the PR of Ma. Remember that blue equals Comintern) fellow members and red equals enemy.
From Communist China's view where yellow equals neutral countries. Comintern is still large and will keep the Allies busy for a while.
I deploy two new big wings in Asturias. It would be nice to control the Bay of Biscay too. Stukas can also be used in an anti-ship role.
More big wing creation in the Balkans.
04 Oct 1943: I deploy the first two Leichte Panzer-Divisionen early....
....then place them in Armeeschule 1.
I'm preparing for a huge air war in the West and have to deal with a potentially dangerous situation in Central Asia.
