Germany - Fall of Manila and the Home Front - 06 Oct to 11 Nov 1943
06 Oct 1943: Good news....
....so now let's process the intel.10 Oct 1943: Resistance levels are still dropping. There are already a couple of green zeros.
13 Oct 1943: The Abwehr has been upgraded with an Airforce Department.
I select Passive Defence (3) next.
I also commence an Infiltrate Army mission in France.
I import more Aluminium from Hungary.
14 Oct 1943: The Japanese have captured Manila. There appears to have been an amphibious assault on the city. The beginning of the end for the Philippines?
15 Oct 1943: Von Manstein's Panzerarmee has a plan value of 80%. Unfortunately that's in Spain. I intended looking at Panzerarmee Rommel on the Greek border.
The plan value of the Bosphorus Armee is only 30% but elements of Rommel's Panzerarmee can swing left behind the Turkish fortifications.
Greece is at war with Comintern and has non-aggression pacts with the Japanese faction.
I plan the construction of four level 5 Coastal Forts in northern Italy.
25 Oct 1943: I assign 6 fully-trained Russian Infantry divisions to the 1st Romanian Army.
Two more Russian divisions are deployed and placed in training.
07 Nov 1943: The technology Improved Computing Machine has been researched....
....and I select Jet Engines next.
The current list of Research projects.
10 Nov 1943: The Spanish 140th Division is assigned to Armee Spanien....
....while the 4th and 5th SS-Divisions are assigned to Armee Slovenia
11 Nov 1943: My Construction chart showing that the improvements in Granada are almost complete.
My Logistics are looking excellent. No deficits at all.
I just need a lot more green zeros on the Resistance levels map and we are ready for combat again. The Wehrmacht has new improved equipment with the Kriegsmarine however still being no match for the Royal Navy. Time is on our side though and the campaigning season doesn't start before Spring 1944.
