USA - Strategy Session - 14 Oct 1942

 My Pacific First strategy has been successful and can't be blamed for the poor performance of the Allies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Nazi Germany defeated European forces much earlier than in real life and way earlier than when the USA entered the war. The conflict with Japan has been won but we are still at war with Axis forces, primarily Germany but also several nations in Latin America.

Germany is about to defeat the Soviet Union and if they puppet the Far East territories of Comintern as in previous campaigns then we shall already have a common border with this Axis-ally Russia and maybe an Axis Manchuria too. So I intend sending George Patton to Korea with a large army. China, a member of the Allies faction, will also be at war.

In Europe and the Middle East Turkey is doing a fine job and Italy has huge problems. Also Spain is a member of Comintern and is fighting the Germans in southern France.

The Hellenic Republic is also holding out against the Axis so I have a few options there too. I would like to set up a Strategic Bombing campaign from the UK and somewhere in Italy and/or the Balkans. The Oilfields in Ploesti, Romania need to be destroyed.

While I realize that there are little options in the Far East if it doesn't become Axis-controlled I shall then send the armies there for operations in Europe or the Near East. However Turkey is also Communist and I don't like supporting Communists. Comintern will exist after the Soviets have been defeated so they could also become a target and I don't like the idea of a Communist Ottoman Empire in the Middle East and Balkans.

If we want to save the World from Communism and Fascism we have a lot of work ahead of us.
