19 May 1941: The planned advance of 5th Army to Odessa and Sevastopol. Note that 4th Army has already advanced deep into Ukraine.
The pocket of encircled Russians near Zhytomyr has been neutralized and 4th Army is heading to the front in order to continue the attack. Their main objective is Stalingrad with help from 2. Panzerarmee which has now been activated.
20 May 1940: I'm building more aircraft so I import more Rubber from Great Britain.
The Russians are 24% towards capitulation but look at the difference in casualties.
28 May 1941: I agree to a non-aggression pact with Free India.
30 May 1041: Research has been completed on
Improved Rubber Processing....
....and I continue with
Fuel Refining III.
31 May 1941: The big bicture. We are more than half the way to Moscow, Leningrad is putting up a good fight and we have a long way to Stalingrad.
01 Jun 1941: Odessa has been captured and 5th Army is poised to enter Crimea.
Mongolia joins the Russians and in the northern sector we are slowly wearing down the defenders in Leningrad.
02 Jun 1941: Russia has called Mongolia into the war and Leningrad should fall within the next week. That's excellent news.
05 Jun 1941: Sevastopol has fallen and hopefully Leningrad will follow in the nexr few days.
06 Jun 1941: Leningrad has been captured as well as Novgorod.
08 Jun 1941: At home in Germany another Reserve division has been deployed and is placed in training.
The trained 20. Panzer-Division and the 100. Sturm-Division are assigned to 1. Panzerarmee.
I order Guderian's 1. Panzerarmee to take Moscow by storm.
10 Jun 1941: Six new Sturm-Divisionen have been deployed and are sent to the Armeeschule.
12 Jun 1941: I select the Land Doctrine
Kampfgruppe.
Russia is now ca. 50% towards capitulation and their losses are mounting.
Sepp Dietrich's 3. Panzerarmee now marches further east to capture cities and airfields to gain Victory Points.
13 Jun 1941: My provisional battle plan for 5th Army.
I've given 2. Panzerarmee a new objective - Stalingrad.
They are ordered to storm through the enemy defences and capture the city.
17 Jun 1941: Excellent! Guderian's Panzers have captured Moscow.
24 Jun 1941: Russia is now 69% towards capitulation and has 451K casualties.
The campaign is proceeding as planned. Next stop Stalingrad and the Caucasus.
