Allies - Turkey, Ukraine and Carpathian Conclusion - 20 Jun to 21 Jul 1941

20 Jun 1941: No real surprise because the Soviets have chosen to dominate the Bosporus Straits.

25 Jun 1941: We have finally captured that Soviet stronghold as well as Stanislawów. Army Canada is now advancing southeast to link up with Army Macedonia.

I delete the recruitment of 10th Armoured Division. We don't have enough Crusader tanks to support 8 Armoured divisions active in Russia and 2 recruiting.

26 Jun 1941: I activate 4th Army. The goal is to liberate Byelorussia. 

28 Jun 1941: Pinsk is the first objective then we shall roll up the Soviet front to the north.

29 Jun 1941: Turkey has made gains in the Caucasus. We shall be monitoring their progress.

I add 8 more Military Factories to my Construction queue. All are in Italy.

A Light Cruiser, a Destroyer and two Submarines are now fully-trained and are assigned to active fleets.

The Fuel consumption is lower than I had expected.

05 Jul 1941: Now that the two armies have joined forces we can now neutralize that Romanian pocket. The Soviet forces there are now isolated and out of supply.

06 Jul 1941: The pocket has been split into two pockets which will expedite their downfall.

08 Jul 1941: Their breakout attempt will get nowhere.

09 Jul 1941: I need to clean up the frontline so I transfer 2 divisions from Army Macedonia to Army Canada....

....then fix the problem.

13 Jul 1941: It should be easy going from here on.

15 Jul 1941: That position has been cleared so on to the next one. Research has been completed on Bren Mk. 1 and ML 3 inch Mortar.

I plan the construction of Fuel Silos in Piedmont and Emilia Romagna.

I choose to research Improved Infantry Equipment II next.

16 Jul 1941: Army Macedonia launches an attack at the southern end of the Soviet pocket in Romania. The end is near.

17 Jul 1941: It's almost over.

19 Jul 1941: Meanwhile 4th Army has cut Byelorussia into two parts.

21 Jul 1941: Army Macedonia has effectively become a Reserve Army. I order it to Krivoi Rih in central Ukraine.

Now we can concentrate on defeating the Soviet Union and hopefully before General Winter arrives.
