Germany - Mainly the Balkans and Turkey - 15 May to 24 May 1942

15 May 1942: The French position in Alsace is looking noticeably smaller.
16 May 1942: I import more Rubber, this time from the Dutch East Indies.
My current Research projects. That Panzerfaust will be useful.
The noose is tightening in Yugoslavia.
The French are attempting an amphibious also in Montenegro but it isn't going well. That stubborn problem NW of Thessaloniki is about to be reduced. All roads then lead to Athens.
The situation on the Kurdish front. We have the upper hand here. The terrain furthers the defender and we have no Panzers.
The Bosphorus front is developing well. Ankara is now in our hands.
We shall soon be linking up the three groups of forces in Turkey.
17 May 1942: Our victorious BEF has arrived home and I send it to the Alsace enclave.
19 May 1942: We sunk another Italian merchant vessel.
In Greece we are advancing again. That stubborn enemy group in the north has been neutralized.
That should remedy the situation.
20 May 1942: In Yugoslavia we now have a mopping up mission.
It's looking increasingly bleak for the Latin Entente forces.
21 May 1942: Divisions from Armee Yugoslavia can now support operations in Greece. Keeping up the pressure!
23 May 1942: The Kurdish front. We are up against defenders in a fortress on top of a mountain.
France is about to capitulate....
....and Italy is 69% towards capitulation.
Two bastions in Kurdistan will fall in the next week then we can advance further.
24 May 1942: The same front 12 hours later.
We've made great progress in northern Turkey. The link up with 1st Army is imminent.
They are sending a Panzer-Division to spearhead the way.
Southwest Turkey has our attention too. We are near to Izmir and Rhodes is in our sights.
We're only three weeks into the campaign but the momentum has been ruthless and any opposition has been crushed.
