Allies - Struggling in France (III) - 02 Sep to 23 Sep 1940
02 Sep 1940: I'm hoping to defeat that one German division in order to break the encirclement. As always the Americans appear to be just tourists.
03 Sep 1940: We have launched a counterattack west of Paris too.04 Sep 1940: The 18th and 77th Infantry Divisions have arrived in Brest and they immediately go on the offensive. The French aren't used to that.
We lost another Merchant near Malta.
Still no relief for the encircled troops. Why aren't the Yanks moving into that undefended state north of the battle???
07 Sep 1940: Look at how close the Free French are from the German frontline. I have to divert a couple of divisions away from my counteroffensive.
Hopefully we shall have 2 days 😐.
11 Sep 1940: Breakthrough and we are attacking northwards. Thanks for the support, America.
12 Sep 1940: We are attacking towards Dijon to widen the corridor. Also the Focus Amphibious Warfare has been completed.
The Italians have lost a Destroyer at the cost of one our Merchants.
My next Focus us Aircraft Production Group which should help Fighter production.
I allow British Malaya to join the war.
First Army now has 8 divisions in France and it is advancing westwards. One of the goals is the Free French capital Nantes.
13 Sep 1940: We are progressing with our counterattack towards Dijon and Besancon. The US isn't even trying to rescue a surrounded US division.
I ship the final division of 1st Army to Dunkerque.
17 Sep 1940: That large French fleet is active again.
20 Sep 1940: Get well quickly, Brian!
22 Sep 1940: British casualties are increasing.
23 Sep 1940: The Germans have abandoned a large portion of the southern sector of their frontline in France. What is happening?
The Italians have sunk 4 Merchants from one of our Allies.
End Game in North Africa.
The situation in Portugal.
The Global Summary. We are still #1 and are even out-producing Nazi Germany.
I'm seriously thinking of kicking the USA out of the Allies faction. The USA got us into a real mess in France.
