02 Jan 1936: I'm busy placing all the Soviet divisions in Armies. Here all the Kavaleriya.Diviziya in a single Army.
Now I'm collecting Mountain Diviziya.
I select the Focus
Path of Marxism Leninism as my first Focus. I intend taking the Stalin option, i.e. trying to do better than Stalin. The campaign is however in non-historical mode.
I create Army Finland for the border with Finland.
Army 1 and Army 2 each consist of 24 Rifle Divisions and are not assigned to any front (yet) but like all Armies are in training.
I have 10 Mechanized Corps and 1 Motorized Division in Armoured Army.
NKVD Army contains all the NKVD divisions.
Cavalry Army has 21 Kavaleriya Diviziya....
....and Mountaineer Army has 13 Mountain Divisions.
I create Army Vlad to protect Vladivostok....
....and Army Far East protects our border with Manchuria.
Fully-trained divisions in Armoured Army are transferred to the newly-created Armoured Reserve which is located around the Vitebsk region..
I start recruiting 4 x 25 Rifle Divisions to supplement the current 138 divisions in the Soviet Armed Forces.
I have 33 MIF's which are allocated to 4 items. I'm not producing 'obsolete' tanks or aircraft.
My Naval production. All new vessels are assigned to the Baltic Fleets.
This is what happens when my Focus has been completed.
10 Jan 1936: Our borders with Turkey and Iran.
15 Jan 1941: The template of the Rifle Division. It will of course be improved to become a Guards Division.
The Mountain Division has too many Mountain Infantry Battalions. I shall reduce it to 9 Battalions.
The Motorized Diviziya needs a few more battalions.
Ditto for the Kavaleriya Diviziya.
At least the NKVD has a Military Police Support Company. I can't change this template.
Finally the Mechanized Diviziya which has no Support Companies , too much Armour and not enough Motorized Infantry.
I add BT-7 tanks to the Production chart.
I still need to fix the Airforce and Navy in the next posts.
