While I'm waiting for the new Germany update I've decided to play a campaign as Poland. Poland can't 'win' the campaign but my goal is to survive being 'squashed' between Germany and the Soviet Union. Poland starts in a very unfortunate geographical location. We must find allies while developing our very weak economy.
01 Jan 1936: First I want to organize the Army. We have a total of 40 divisions. Larger than Germany.
There are 10 Cavalry Divisions and 2 Mountain Divisions.
I assign them into 4 Armies: 8 untrained Infantry Divisions in the Reserve Army for example, then 3 more.
I assign the armies to 3 Fronts:
02 Jan 1936: The divisions are moving to their assigned fronts.
06 Jan 1936: Next I decide which Techs to research.
My Consruction is next and I concentrate on Civilian Factories.
My first Focus is
The Four Year Plan which helps Construction.
I assign all 9 of my MIF's....
....and start recruitng two Infantry Divisions. I have limited Manpower and an all Volunteer force.
04 Feb 1936:
The Four Year Plan has been completed....
....and I select
Assemble the Regency Council next. I desire Poland to be a Monarchy.
07-09 Feb 1936: Benito is wasting no time in East Africa.
11 Mar 1939: Great news. My 2nd Focus has been completed and Germany is embroiled in a Civil War. That means that Nazi Germany will hopefully no longer be a problem.
Fulfil the 5th of November Act will enable me to choose which Monarchy will rule Poland.
I select
Renew Romanian-Polish Alliance as my next Focus. That's the Ally part.
Now it's official.
14 Mar 1936: Good for Turkey.
15 Mar 1936: The Focus is completed and the Nazis are losing the Civil War.
I select the Focus
Polish School of Mathematics in order to gain a 4th Research Slot.
01 May 1936: I don't need that.
20 May 1936: We have our Alliance with Romania....
....and we don't want a Saxon King on the throne.
23 May 1936: The Nazis have lost Nürnberg - how sad.
25 May 1936: I'm not interested in South America but Yugoslavia's change of policy is worrisome.
08 Jun 1936: Two technologies to strengthen our Infantry have been researched.
I select
Inter-War Artillery from SMPA....

Consruction I next.

24 Jun 1936: I don't want a Habsburg on the throne either.

Passive Sonar for the Navy.
26 Jun 1936: We have researched
Basic Machine Tools and I select
Concentrated Industry I next.
30 Jul 1936: Tempting but No!
02 Sep 1936: I chose
Fill the Railway Gaps as he next Focus and it is completed.
I select
Agrarian Reform to avoid a Peasant's Strike and possibly a Civil War.
04 Sep 1936: No to a Cossack on the throne.
That didn't take long. We won't congratulate Mussolini.
25 Sep 1936: Research has been completed on
Construction I....
....and I select
Electronic Mechanical Engineering next.
07 Oct 1936: A Habsburg returns to the Hungarian throne.
09 Oct 1936: The answer is still no.
15 Oct 1936: Good luck on that.
18 Oct 1936: I choose General Sosnkowski as my Army Chief.
23 Oct 1936: The Spanish Civil War begins.
11 Nov 1936: We have completed the
Agrarian Reform....
....and I select
Central Region Strategy next for a couple of CIF's and more.
13 Nov 1936: Now it's time to choose a Habsburg. King Karl Albrecht is a good choice. Also
Inter-War Artillery has been researched.

15 Nov 1936: Long Live the King!
