09 Nov 1941: I have my two Armies advance into 'Japanese Russia' occopying cities and attacking a stray Japanese unit when possible.
I delete 1st Army's defensive line in NE Italy. There are enough Allied forces there to hold the line.
I order most of my divisions to the southern end of the front....
....then order an offensive through Firenze to Lucca.
10 Nov 1941: At first we have 5 of our divisions versus three of theirs.
12 Nov 1941: We have captured Firenze and the Italians counterattack.
14 Nov 1941: We have more divisions arriving and the odds are now 11 to 2.
The fall of Lucca is imminent.
15 Nov 1941: I was hoping that would happen. There was a hint of it when Mussolini was deposed. We now have a Civil War in Italy.
I order 4 divisions to capture La Spezia and neutralize that pocket.
I then order 8 divisions south.
16 Nov 1941: The Italians sink a Greek Merchant.
The 5th Motorized Division has been deployed and is placed in training.
Harland & Wolff receives the Trait
Gyro-Stabilized Mount.
I unlock the Air Doctrine
Battlefield Support....
....and the Naval Doctrine
Subsidiary Carrier Role.
I also unlock the Army Doctrine
Branch Inter-Operation.
I order our forces to advance down the coast to Roma.
The Civil War makes our campaign much easier.
