Turkey - The Balkan League War (II) - 18 Jul to 05 Oct 1912
18 Jul 1912: I still don't know why we are supposedly losing so heavily. Let's prove the statistics wrong!
26 Jul 1912: We shall have broken through their lines in less than one day - not bad for someone losing...
27 Jul 1912: We are advancing into Bulgaria! The 3 divisions on the coast will soon be in Varna.
30 Jul 1912: Never met him but R.I.P.
31 Jul 1912: We've researched the 1906 Submarine I which won't be built.
Instead we shall begin researching the 1910 Submarine II.
I've also decided to send a fleet into the Aegean Sea.
01 Aug 1912: The penetration into Bulgaria deepens.
03 Aug 1912: The port of Varna has fallen. All forces in the east will now be racing along the Romanian border to capture Sofia. Other forces on 2nd Army's left flank will keep the enemy pinned down.
17 Aug 1912: Yikes! Skopje has fallen. I need to quickly seal the gap.
18 Aug 1912: The gap is sealed and a counterattack is underway to recapture the city. The Focus Artillery Effort has completed.
I select Anti-Serbian Policy as my next Focus.
The front is stabilized and our forces in eastern Bulgaria are pushing westwards.
24 Aug 1912: We are keeping up the pressure and slowly turning the battles to our advantage.
30 Aug 1912: The Hotchkiss has been researched and I move on to the 1913 Panhard-Genty model.
06 Sep 1912: The Balkan League forces are still managing to hold the line but I'm keeping up the pressure.
07 Sep 1912: An overview of 2nd Army's operation plans.
12 Sep 1912: I bring in my air reserves and there has finally been a hole punched in their lines. Now to exploit it.
17 Sep 1912: Major breakthrough along the Romanian border.
24 Sep 1912: We are closing in on Sofia and are sending a probing force into Serbia.
03 Oct 1912: We are at the gates of Sofia, which is about to fall, and have captured Niš in Serbia.
05 Oct 1912: Sofia has been captured! Great news.
That's all for this post. Do we take Belgrade next?
